Thanks for all of your prayers during last week's PACT Prayer Summit. It was great to spend three days in prayer with other area pastors.
Speaking of prayer, continue to pray for our interim elders and deacons as we plan and prepare for the next chapter of Frontline that will be unfolding over the coming months.
Two weeks ago I mentioned the subject of suffering. How can a loving God allow suffering? This is perhaps the greatest question that unbelievers ask. It is a question that our family repeatedly asked throughout our ordeal last fall with Rachel in the hospital for nine weeks. One helpful response to the question can be found at http://www.beyondtheultimate.org/. The site features the two Super Bowl coaches but addresses the issue well. Obviously no response will be comprehensive, but hopefully you and your friends will find it to be helpful.
This Sunday is Amazing Grace Sunday. We will join thousands of other churches in singing the song, reflecting upon the life and legacy of William Wilberforce, and seeking an end to worldwide slavery. PACT (Pastors Alliance for County Transformation) is sponsoring 40 Days of Prayer for our county. It begins with a community prayer gathering at Knox Presbyterian on Ash Wednesday, February 21 at 7 PM and will conclude on April 1 at Hosanna. This year's Palm Sunday event will be at EMU's Pease Auditorium at 5 PM.

There will be a co-ed baby shower for Dave and Kim Middlin on February 24 at 6 PM at our home. They are registered at Babies R Us. Please RSVP by replying to this e-mail.

Community Events
The annual GospelFest will be held on March 3 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 423 South Fourth Avenue in Ann Arbor. The 7:30 PM concert is free. Workshops are held throughout the day. For details, call Jean at 439.8462.
THIS WEEK
The IMPACT Prayer Center continues every Tuesday from 6 AM until midnight at Summit Church on South Main at Ann Arbor-Saline Road. Join the 18-hour prayer meeting that features live music and people from various churches across our county.
Pray & Play - is held on Wednesdays from 7-9 PM at the Frontline Living Room (Avis Drive). All are welcome. We will NOT meet tonight, however.
This Sunday morning, we will gather for a free breakfast and worship at 10:30 AM. FREE lunch immediately following the Gathering.
