February 5, 2007

Dear Frontliners,

Today I will be traveling to the annual PACT (Pastors Alliance for County Transformation) Pastors Prayer Summit. We will be spending three days in prayer for ourselves, our families, our churches, and our county. Please pray for me to hear from God and also for health and protection for our family while we are apart. Thanks so much.

There will be no IMPACT Prayer Center this Tuesday, February 6, due to the PACT Pastor's Prayer Summit.

PACT and the IMPACT Prayer Center are sponsoring 40 Days of Prayer: 24/7 prayer during Lent, February 21 until April 1. Stay tuned for details.

This Sunday we continue our new series The Heart of the Father. You will get to hear more about what God is doing in and through Frontline and some of our plans for the future.

Amazing Grace Sunday is February 18. We will join thousands of other churches in singing the song, reflecting upon the life and legacy of William Wilberforce, and seeking an end to worldwide slavery. To sign the petition and for more info, visit http://www.theamazingchange.com/.

The past three Sundays we have distributed free audio Bibles on CD to every person in attendance, adults and children (who received a special kids version). The Bibles came with the challenge to go through the New Testament in the next 40 days (28 minutes/day). For those that prefer the written version, reading is just as good as listening! For the best comprehension and retention, read while you listen. In addition to the challenge to personally experience God's Word I offered a challenge to help others experience it, too. Through Faith Comes By Hearing, we are raising money for the Tonga-speaking people of Zambia, Africa. For $948, one book of the Bible can be translated and recorded so groups of illiterate people who have never heard about Jesus can have an opportunity to know God. You can donate online here or write a check to "Faith Comes By Hearing" and place it in the Gifts & Feedback box on Sunday.

Speaking of audio messages, our website has been updated and you can download Sunday sermons for free (individually or via iTunes podcast subscription) . Message notes are also available. Check it out here.
