December 5 , 2006

Dear Frontline family,

Yesterday we began our new series "Welcome To Our World" as we anticipate the arrival of CHRISTmas. Even though the birth of Jesus is in the past, the second Advent is in the future. We are in between His first and second comings.

My wife Heather's women's Journey Group is moving from Wednesday to Tuesday evenings. For details, call her at 734.717.8251.

The women's CHRISTmas brunch is December 16. For details, contact Kelly Hawkins at kelly@kellyhawkins.net.

We will be serving at the Ronald McDonald House and singing at the Arbor Hospice on Sunday, December 10 as part of s2s: Sunday 2 Serve. The day of serving will conclude with a chili dinner at 6:15 PM at the University Reformed Church downtown. We are looking for additional service projects for this Sunday and future 2nd Sundays. If you know of a person, family, or organization that needs help (cleaning, cooking, tutoring, whatever!), please email Kirk here.

Speaking of URC, we will have a special joint worship gathering at URC on CHRISTmas Eve at 10:30 AM (we will NOT have a gathering at the Frontline Living Room on Avis Drive).

On New Year's Eve, URC will join us at the Frontline Living Room for a joint worship gathering at 10:30 AM.

The Frontline Living Room is in need of CHRISTmas cheer. If you would like to decorate (we have most of the decorations), please email Kirk here or come to Pray & Play this Wednesday at 7 PM.

Wednesday, December 6, 2006, will be the last day to apply for Christmas assistance at The Salvation Army. Christmas assistance includes toys, food, clothes, and a meat certificate. They will not be accepting applications during Christmas distribution as they've done in the past. The hours for both the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti offices are from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Wednesday. Those needing assistance should call 668.8353 (Ann Arbor) or 482.4700 (Ypsilanti)

Here is our monthly financial update:

November budget: $8900
November income: $7602
Year-to-date budget: $97,900
Year-to-date income: $96,114

All financial gifts must be received or postmarked on or before December 31 to be credited for 2006.

Enjoy this special time of year!

Kirk
